Overall, Texas business taxes are among the nation’s lowest. One of only seven states with no state income tax, Texas ranked 2nd nationally in The Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council’s Business Tax Index for 2010, which compared five business-relevant tax indices: corporate taxes, individual income taxes, sales taxes, unemployment insurance taxes, and property taxes.
