A Little League team from Fort Bend County is advancing to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania after winning its regional final Tuesday.
Needville Little League Tuesday completed an undefeated run in the regional tournament by defeating Ascension Parish Little League 5-3 in Waco.
The Little League World Series will be held Aug. 16-27. Needville's opening opponent in the world series will be the Mid-Atlantic champions, who are yet to be determined.
That game will be aired live on Aug. 16, at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
